I have a social life.

I can't believe it.  I have a social life.  Had.  And have, I'll make sure of that!!  Ahh.  I'm so happy.  Everyone's been so lame for weeks, everyone's had so much work to do around here there's been no hanging out at all.  Except for that time one of my friends walked with me from 7th to 2nd Ave.  And then back up to Manhattan Mall.

My friends at college are so lame...but you'll see....it's all gonna change!  Pretty much all my friends there are commuters (me too), so I guess they get tired easily.  I mean, 2 of them come from Jersey and one's like 40 min. away in Jamaica (Queens).  But the one that lives the closest to school, even closer than me, is the LAMEST.  He is SO LAZY. He thinks walking five blocks is some great task.  FIVE blocks.  Not avenues.  Blocks!  He's lived in the city all his life and he can't stand walking, it's wierd.  Anyway, out of the normal group of four people I happen to usually be with, he is the different one.  You see, we are slackers.  He is lazy.  There's a difference.

Think about it.

During Spring Break, our last break until Summer, we were all supposed to hang out at least once to see that movie, Ultraviolet.  But we never did.  Why?  Because the Lazy One didn't feel like going, and thus the whole outing was dropped.  We should've went without him.  But you know.  I always thought it was a courtesy to WAIT for your friends.
Then later when Break is over....the Lazy One IMs me and I learn....he went to see V for Vendetta with some friend from Hunter.  Now.  NORMALLY I wouldn't mind.  NORMALLY I'd be okay.  I mean he's allowed to have friends.  But he knows that we all wanted to go see that movie.  We were all talking about going to see that movie right in front of him, because of how awesome it looked.
So forget him.  Next time we want to do something and he doesn't, we're just gonna go on without him.  Since he gets to do what he wants, we should too =(

Let's talk about the FUN TIMES instead...

This weekend was great!   And you know what, this website called astrologyzone told me it would be.  Well, it specifically meant Saturday and Sunday, but hey, Thursday and Friday are part of the weekend too ;)  The prediction for me on astrologyzone for most everything else though was incredibly vague and barely true.  But for a couple other people I know it was dead on, creepily accurate.  I guess Sarah Miller or whatever her name is got tired of predicting stuff by the time she got down to Sagittarius.

Thursday - Went with my sister and her friends to the Sean Paul concert at Nokia Theatre (sold out show).  It went from eh to great, which is better than the opposite.  For some reason, Rihanna's part (she opened the show) was like, technologically sabotaged!  Why she sucked:
1/  We missed her first song (SOS, my fav) cause we were still at coat check
2/  Her white, rectangular shorts (or whatever they were) were hideous
3/  The sound on her songs kept blinking in and out.

What's up with that.  I think like, $20 of the $50 ticket was supposed to go to paying people to make sure the show is enjoyable.  To make sure their sound system works!  They're SUPPOSED to check the sound like an hour before the show starts!  Not when the opening girl is singing!   So bad!
But by the time Sean Paul came on, the sound was great....and it was perfect :D  Haha, he had a cane....he told us a story:

   When he flew down from Conneticut to NYC earlier that day, three ladies were waiting for him.  They asked for a picture, so he had sure, and he had his arms around two of them.  But the third lady, whom he described as a woman with "300 lbs in her behind" said, "No!  I dont want no picture!  I wanna strip you nekkid and have your babies!"  And she pushed him over and twisted his knee ^_^;;

It was cool, though I think rock shows are more my thing.  Hip hop, reggae, whatever genre that was, it doesnt get me as energized as rock does.  Really, it was like a really expensive club, with live singers.  In rock shows, there's so much energy that gets thrown at you, so much power you feel when the beat reverberates within your body, sometimes it's like you'll explode unless you move your body and let out some of that energy!  Man.  I wanna go to another rock show...havent been to one in a while...

  Anyway.

Friday - Supposed to have dinner with Ma-chan, but it was her grandma's birthday.  So instead, went to see V for Vendetta!  With my sister and her friends again.  Because my friends are lame and probably wont go (seeing as how 1 of them already saw it).  We got tickets for it online for the iMAX theater and got there like 5 min before the show started.
Well APPARENTLY people got there like an hour and a half early, because it was a sold out show with only the front row seats open.  Now in a normal theater, the front seats are the worst.  Just imagine how-much-worse- it is when the screen is like 10 x bigger!  I mean, so big and distorted from down there than you can't read a five word sentence spanning the screen before it disappears.
So, we left, refunded the tickets, and saw it in a normal theater on Union Square.  And it was great.  I Loooooved it!  There really could have been more action though, there really could've, and there was a lot of talking, but it was great.  I LOVE the voice of V !  I forgot his name, he's the guy who played Agent Smith in The Matrix.  Gonna get the comic book...  my sister's friends kept dissing it though, I don't think they liked it much.  Partly because it was a 3 hour movie.
By the way, Fridays are my 2-7pm 2-D animation class, and I would like to thank my teacher in it for making me feel so much HATE.  Man I hate her.  I feel like she's ripping us off, taking our money and not teaching us anything.  I thought she'd be cool cause she worked on The Last Unicorn, a movie that will always have a place in my heart.  But she's the devil and I hate her, and since I can't do anything else that has little adversive consequence towards myself I shall write a very bad evaluation of her at the end of the semester.  With underlines and lots of punctuation.

Saturday - Such a busy day, it left me DEAD tired.  Last class of Japanese with current teacher....who has been AWESOMELY teaching us kansai dialect instead of normal textbook stuff ( ^_____^ ).  It's great!!!!  I really need more practice pronouncing and listening to it though, it'd be nice to find a Japanese drama or something with Kansai main characters.

After class, me and my friend went over to the kenjutsu dojo downtown.  Well, he did, and I ran home cause I forgot my shinai (practice sword) (>_<;;).  IT WAS GREAT.  Mike the Masochist and the other white people weren't there....correction, Anne was there, but she's a noob and she's pretty cool as a person.  I dont get a creepy feeling from her.  Anyway, there was just 6 students and the (Japanese) teacher, we had the whole dojo to ourselves... because I had to run home for my shinai, I missed the drills they did.  But he kept us constantly active, and we actually worked up a sweat...it was great!  And I learned a new way to parry/counter-attack, heehee (^_^)  Only the Japanese ones knew how to do the Battojutsu (battoujutsu?) cuz he trains with them more, but you'll see...one day....we too will be grabbing away people's swords and kicking them in the side.
   One day.

Had Quiznos for the first time too, and hey, they taste good !!  So me and my friend hung out for a bit there, and made plans to go play paintball :D ~!!  They're still working it out, but they plan on renting a castle to fight at.  I never did paintball before....I'm kind of scared ^_^;   He said you could get bruises like, as big as your palm.  And one of them has a friggin RIOT GUN (bigger paintballs go in there! And bigger=more pain).  A bunch of them have scopes.  Some of them have nightvision goggles.  They can shoot a guy's LEGS while he's running at top speed in zig zags.  I am so dead xD

That's the point at which I realized Ma-chan showed up at my apartment =x !  So I squiggled home from there and we hung out for a bit...I was starting to think I wouldnt see her till summer =P  Well I had plans to meet with our high school friend in like 2 hours to get some dinner and hookah, and I wanted Ma-chan to come too, but she said she had to go cause she's leaving early for college the next day.
NEVER go to Sahara East.  Their fresh strawberry juice taste pretty dern good, but it's hella expensive, as is everything else there.  $5 for a glass.  That's like, the price of beer in NYC, and I dont think they put a lot of strawberries in it cause it was pretty thin.  Pita bread and hummus was $7.50, again too much for a small snack food.  And the hookah.....FIF. TEEN.  DOLLARS.
  Holy hell.
We had three people sharing it so the money each individual paid wasn't TOO bad, but still.  That's a lot of money !!!  And Sahara East , though the decor is pretty cool, had absolutely NO ventilation whatsoever.  You were constantly inhaling other people's different flavored hookah smoke.  Now lightheadedness may be a thing you want to get from hookahing, you know, you wanna get relaxed feeling...but you dont want to get so drowsy you just wanna collapse!  No ventilation = No oxygen = I wanna sleep, not hookah.  But it's so much fun making circles with the smoke (^_^)

We wanted to go to this Irish pub after, but there was a bouncer and none of us had an .. acceptable ID.

So instead we got Starbucks and went back to the NYU dorms to hang out, and stuff happened I'm now feeling too tired to continue writing about.  But lemme say, I think I really woulda been happier living in the dorms.  So much excitement, even at 3am.  Though for no reason at all the heating went out.

I have a report to make up about an artist now...but tomorrow me and some college friends are ACTUALLY going to hang out.  It's so unbelievable, I'm suspecting one of them might lame out by 3pm tomorrow.  This is a different group of friends than with the Lazy One; this is an all girl's group ^_^;  Also all Asian (haha).  So out of the WHOLE SCHOOL YEAR, with one month of school left, tomorrow will be the first time we hang out outside of school, and tomorrow will be the first time I get a picture taken with some college friends (someone's bringing a camera).  A full year and I have no pictures with people, it's terrible!

All the happiness today, I feel like I'm going to overflow!

Why am I happy?  Simple things.

I dont have to work for the rest of the week.

Finally got to talk to my friend Ma-chan, FINALLY !!!!  She just moved and I guess everything is hectic for her.  Moved to the land of factory smoke stacks, toxic waste dumps, and spontaneously combusting rivers, AKA New Jersey ^_~

I've been calling my friend from LA, and it's all been going to voicemail.  He's in NYC for the week and I really wanted to meet up with him...I haven't seen him in a year....then finally he IMs me on the internet ^___^   And we're meeting up tomorrow!

This guy finally talked to my friend and confessed his love for her!   And she almost seemed ready to give up on him!  It's like a manga or something with the mutual unrequited love resolution!!! So happy!!!

My other friend, I was a little sad because I thought she was going to be in Russia for the whole Christmas break........turns out......she ONLY went to VERMONT.  Ack.  I thought I heard Russia, I dunno!!!!   It's like when my old classmate, I asked her how college is in Canada.
Her:  "um.  I'm not in Canada ^_^;"
Me: "Oh..."  *later*  "Hey I figured it out!  You're not in Canada you're in PENNSYLVANIA!!! :D :D :D"
Her: "I'm in CONNETICUT!!!"

But the girl who supposedly went to Russia is now BACK  and we're hanging out tomorrow too ^___^   Schwee!  This also means we can finally (me and her and this other friend) stay up all night and watch this Japanese drama called Waterboys one of them got over the summer.  AHhhhhhhh.....high school boys by the pool.  (-^_^-)=V!  It brings back memories of Japan and the swim team we met at the river!!!   And.  When I accidentally started throwing rocks at one of them.  It's just...I didnt see him there!!! @__@  But his friends thought it was funny and started throwing rocks at him too (X_X)

Now for some other petty happy things.  I finally figured out the right amount of hair necessary to pin to my head on both sides, so that 1 clip can actually hold it.  My hair's too thick for one clip usually.  And I downloaded a bunch of Anime (reverting to hermit mode) that really has a place in my heart... AKA...Otaku no Video!  I used to have the tape... a really CRAPPY tape that was all grainy...which i Lost  (-_-;;)  And Daicon III / IV ..... which has such beautiful animation, especially when the buildings get destroyed and the swords are flying like fighter jets at a ceremony. WOW.  It's so smooth it looks like a computer did the scrolling, but they couldn't use computers for that in the 80's!  And the Suikoden stuff...and Peach Girl...welll.....I dunno if I can handle watching more of that show.  It really makes my heart hurt.  And ever since episode 13...(I'm up to 14) ..... it's becoming too much, and I'm starting to think the main girl is a stupid hypocrit.  GARRR!!! BLAH BLAH I want to jump in the anime so's I can smack them up!  And bite them.  RARRR.  Feel my WRATH!

It's called idiot's fee.

My friend gave me a gift card to Victoria's Secret so's I can buy pretty pretty underwears ^___^  Mwahhaha.  Never bought anything there before, their crap is always so expensive.  I dont even know how much is on the card, she said she couldn't write on it because it was too pretty (and it is...its like...superiorly shiny, like it's enchanted or something).  Going there tomorrow, and the whole day's gonna be BUSY BUSY!! <3  With the important things, aka not work or school, aka not bumming at home, AKA hanging out <3 <3 <3 !!!  And there's no MTA STRIKE to get in my way!!!

Anyway, yes.  That's what happened today.  And I got to have Coke, extra +++++ to happiness meter !

Ahhh the abuse =x !   Not in the bad way.  Well, not that pain is a good thing.
Break dancing club on Thursday made me feel like my right arm was gonna RIP OFF.  I also fell completely onto my right pinky...and for some reason there's a wierd cut on it now.  This Korean guy from my Drawing Class was passing by and saw us, so I tried to get him to do something.  I KNOW he knows how to break, but he's being way too modest!  Though....he started coaching me....and was like....

Him:  "You're a rightie?  OK - now get on the floor and balance all your body weight on your left arm".

Strength training.  EVIL.  It's my left arm D: D: D:  I was constantly trying to hold that freeze and collapsing on myself for a good hour, it felt.  Tried to do some handstands too, but I'm really scared...I can't get myself to stay ...

We had our first test ever in Japanese class in 3 years....man...my English is deteriorating too.  I mean, my translation was correct, but what I wrote just sounds plain weird: " At Niwa, I plan to uproot flowers ".
At kenjutsu, there were a number of things telling me not to go...such as:
1./   Friend not going b/c inner ear is messed up, therefore no balance
(got kicked in the ear during karate)
2./   Me spilling coffee all over my hakama
3./   Me being unable to refold my hakama after drying it
4./   The door to the dojo being locked.  It was a good 5 min. before someone
noticed I was waving my hands through the window, like a sea anemone
5./    I couldn't tie my hakama, after 30 minutes in the bathroom,
after retying it 3 times in a row before giving up.  The Japanese teacher
            laughed at me >_<

Man.  Mike the Masochist was there, and right after he told me to hit him harder with the shinai, he SMASHES my right arm with his own shinai.  BLAHHH!!!! It hurt but I didn't let on.  After we finished practice, everyone was mingling at the center of the room, and I see the guy come in the corner of my eye.....shinai raising, shinai falling rapidly in my direction.
Quickly, I blocked his shinai with mine.  Jeez, he hit really heavy....and that thing was aimed for my neck!!
    After that....

M:    "I'm gonna give you a button that says,
            'Psycho-Amazon-Bitches Who Kick Ass"

me:    " (o_o;;) that all fits on ONE button??"
M:    "It's a very big button."

Er.  At least he seems to respect me more, or something, by acknowledging that he can't sneak up and batter me D:  Or something.  They scare me.  There's a woman who's sitting in on the sessions now, and I'm hoping she'll join....we need more girls!

Just like how we need more girls in the break dancing club :(   I dont like being the ONLY girl!   I've also realized, that when I practice handstands there I have to (1) wear a belt and (2) wear a shirt that is tight on my body, so it wont fall upside down D:

Today was such a good day, I feel like writing about it (^_^)

Up early to get to the orthrodontist....

"Hm, I think all we need to do is pull this tooth lower a little more (my fang tooth, the better to pierce flesh with)...after that it looks like we can start taking the braces off..."

Yesssssss... finally...! Except the new wires they put are cutting my lip. And I found dry blood that dripped down. Eeeck. :O But....if we're getting close to removal....I'll put up with it... (>_<)

My first class SUCKED though. Sucked because we're paying good money for schooling, and the teacher decides to let us out of our 3 hour class after only 25 minutes. Why. it's because he didn't feel like talking over the noisy people in the other room. Cuz he's old and whenever he laughs or something he gets into a fit of coughing. Anyway, I got my midterm back and it's really gay... i totally bombed the 1st part (definitions of random words from the books, like panelled bed and pastry chef), but my essay was decent. Still, the essay alone isn't enough to save D: I got a D- as a total. ARRGH. Good thing my in class essays are good.

Back on the track of happiness....

2nd class was cool cuz we relocated classrooms...to the room with computers @__@ :D So practically everyone signed on AIM, and if they didn't do it before our little intermission in the 3 hours, they signed on later after they saw all of us with like 398439058 IM boxes open, being HAPPY in class.
But, I don't like the old guy in our class. He's like 40 or something, and I dont think he takes criticism well or something. My seat was maybe 2 seats away from where he was when he was presenting his homework...and my friend next to me was asking me about what the format the homework (that was currently being presented) was. Because she did it wrong. So I was trying to explain it to her, and the old guy says my name over and over...then says "That's really distracting. Can you stop?"

What the hell. It sucks being reprimanded publicly when you're actually talking about something relevent to class stuff. It's not like i was talking about hamsters or something, I was talking about the format of HIS homework! But, I've noticed he doesn't like criticism. Maybe he thought i was attacking his work or something.

BACK AGAIN to the happiness track...

After school was break dance club =D I was so happy... see, since last week I been trying to do a chair freeze (from the baby freeze), but it just wasn't working. My right arm (supporting my body) kept on giving way and I couldn't figure out how to make it stop.... then I watched my friend do it.
Turns out, it's all because I been propping my right elbow into my hip bone. Which is WRONG ! Because when I twist my hips to get into the chair freeze, my hip pushes my elbow askew, so my arm isn't supporting my body anymore. But if you jab it into the waist instead....ahhh =D Suddenly I could do it!! So yes, now I can do the 6 step and into the chair freeze. I really hurt my shoulder though, from all the failures slamming down on it. I hope it doesnt swell... >_< I put a wet paper towel on it at the club, hoping the chill would discourage swelling.
So now i can do something somewhat cool looking :D :D :D

Anyway, after that I went to meet my friend in NYU, because the Chinese Society there was hosting a dance at this club called Heaven. So we went ^_^ Err...hahha...I thought my tank top today was cute and fashionable, but according to other people it looks pretty clubbish. It's not like you see anything though... sure the neck dips low, but any potential "cleavage" (because i dont have any) is blocked by a straight amount of lace. And the tanktop runs over my hips. 1 person at school was like, "uh, that's not really...a good thing to wear for breakdancing". I dunno why, I was fine in it. Though I kept my denim jacket on in case I looked funny with just a tanktop or something =O And when my friend saw me...she was like:

" Whoa! You're already dressed for clubbing!"
I laughed a bit and said, "Err, this is what I wore in school..."

As I was saying, after breakdancing me and my friend went to that club Heaven .. ground floor is red and called "hell", and 2nd floor has mirrors for walls and is calle d"heaven". I think it's wierd having mirrors everywhere (o_o;) Or maybe it just annoys me seeing girls checking themselves out constantly in the mirrors. Trying to be "sly" about it. Anyway, it was real cool cuz if you got there before 11pm (which we did), Ladies are free !!! Guys pay $5. hahha!
The songs were pretty old....they were at LEAST 3 years old. I remember listening to them when i was in the Philippines. Like "Let's Get Retarded" (except it was the crappy censored one, "let's get it started"), "Where is the Love", Missy Eliot, "Must be the Money" etc.... old Sean Paul...
Maybe if I got to stay longer, they'd play more recent music or something.
I got really thirsty there...but it was $5 JUST for Coke !! So I told the bartender,

"I only have $3 on me, is there any way you could lower the price of a Coke for me?"

It worked =D I was so happy!! It was so refreshing...I really needed a drink.
And later, this guy started dancing with me. And later... he bought me a drink =D

"What kinds can you get?" I asked.
"Anykind you want,"
He didn't look that old. So I asked, "You got an ID?"
The guy smiles and shows me this 21+ bracelet. He musta used a fake ID to get in, but, I shouldn't complain...also that's a different story. :). Also, I think the club was 18+ ... I'm 17... but I'm in college, therefore with a college ID, so it's ok.

I mean like, he's offering, why not take up the oppertunity? So I got a Sex on the Beach. Yummy =D I like sweet drinks...ehheh. And it was free!

There was another guy I danced with who was kinda cute...sort of reminded me of those "pretty boys" in anime except not with long hair, or extremely skinny bodies. But then came the phone call from my mom, railing on me to get home or else, so I had to go .

Still....I like today =) Or, I guess I should say yesterday. I liked yesterday =) And unfortunately, today I have work at 9:30 AM D:. Children. Daycare center. Arr. I want to teach them break dancing, but they're still too stupid. I dunno why. I know there EXISTS 2 year olds who can break. And these kids are 3 !!!!

I just finished telling my friend from school something while we waited for the train.  And when I was done, he said,

"Wow.  Uh.  I'm kinda glad my friends are...normal."

I think he was trying to hint something at me ... >_<,  OOh!  I got a new dangly thing for my cellphone, and it's a white cat thing, and its face is like  "  XD " +  "=^__^="  Maybe I will take a picture.  If I find out where the camera went.

I didn't know what the heck I was doing in my Art History midterm today.  This weekend was soo busy, what with Halloween!  I went to this party my sister planned in Brooklyn on Sat., and it was fun...though the Jungle Juice was practically all Kool Aid and barely any vodka in the taste...and I learned to play beer pong =D   I'm gonna start challenging people at school to play!  And I saw this guy (he's realy more of my sister's friend) that I haven't seen in like 3 years.  Yea....I think he's a show off.  And he also pronounces Naruto wrong.  It's not that hard to pronounce, geez!  He watches the subs too, so I dont see why he can't clean out his ears and HEAR them yelling NARUTO!!  every second, with the intonation on the Na, not the Ru.  And on Sunday was my friend's mom's cruise party ^_^;  got home late.  It makes me want to go clubbing though...I'll find some 18+ thing maybe =)  Even if I'm not 18 yet, I'm told it still works since I'm in college (just show the college ID).

Oops, I got off topic.  Yea, so ... that guy who called me wierd indirectly.  His printouts I read before the teacher came in saved me!!  Memorized some slide names, copied the rest on my hand....So...based on the title of the slides (like Last Judgement of Hu-Nefer) and masterful BSing, I concocted a wonderful series of essays.  I think I passed.  Eheh.

One of my classmates! OOhhh I felt so bad for him!  He was conspiciously absent in art history, and after when we were all in the lunchroom downstairs...he just comes up next to me looking trashed, clothes disheveled, hair unkempt.

"My alarm clock didn't go off!  I'm so mad!!!"
He had pillow marks on his face xD
"Yea....I got so mad that by the time I got to school, I just threw myself on the couch and went to sleep again".

He slept at like...5am.  I feel bad though, cuz it seems like he really killed himself studying for it, and he missed the test just like that.   But....Hahahha.  I couldn't help but laugh.  And then my friends made fun of me cuz I was eating macaroni and cheese.  With Hi-C.  Like in Elementary.  Nothing wrong with that!!  It's yummy!!!  Not the Hi-C I had though.  Wild Cherry.  There was something wrong with that stuff...makes me frown when I drink it..
